Founded in 2004 in Thirumangalam, Tamil Nadu — Aakash Power Engineering has grown from a regional electrical contractor to a nationally recognised OEM manufacturer and solar EPC company.
Our Story
Two decades, one factory.
Aakash Power Engineering was established in 2004 with a singular mission: to bring factory-direct, high-quality electrical equipment and engineering services to Indian industry — without the cost and quality compromises of intermediary distribution.
Over two decades, we have built in-house manufacturing capabilities for Active Power Filters, Static Var Generators, Solar Inverters, Battery Energy Storage Systems, HT Switchgear, and Transformers — all from our facility in Thirumangalam, Madurai District.
In 2025, we achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification (Cert No: INQ/AN-18854/125905/0225, accredited by UKAFC / Ocean Standard), formalising the quality management systems we have practised since inception.

Founded in Thirumangalam, Madurai — electrical contracting & panel manufacturing
Started as a two-person electrical contracting outfit serving local textile mills.
Expanded into Active Power Filter (APF) OEM manufacturing
Built our first in-house APF production line to serve growing industrial harmonic-mitigation demand.
Launched Solar EPC division — first grid-tied rooftop installations
Commissioned our first utility-scale rooftop solar projects across Madurai district.
Introduced BESS (Battery Energy Storage) product line
Added LiFePO4-based storage systems to support hybrid solar deployments.
SiC-MOSFET technology adopted in APF product range
Upgraded our core APF/ASVG line to SiC-MOSFET switching, cutting THDi below 5%.
ISO 9001:2015 Certification achieved (UKAFC Accredited)
